August Favourites 2015
Hello you lovely lot!
Where has this year gone?! I remember starting my blog at the beginning of the year and being so excited about it! Now we're 7 (nearly 8) months in?! Crazy!
Since it's the end of August, that means (whether you like it or not) it's time for another monthly favourites! I love writing these SO much, even if they're not very exciting (which they really aren't sorry, bout that).
So, let's go!
Beauty / Skincare :
Now, I have tried to change my makeup a bit over summer, I wear quite a lot of makeup and so my MAC foundation was getting a bit heavy for the sun and I know summers nearly over but I only bought a summer foundation the other day...whoops. That's not my favourite however, maybe next month? This month I have taken some inspiration from the lovely Zoella and started to wear more eyeshadow! I'm not very good at it and sometimes I look like I have a black eye but when I get it right I really do love it! I bought this a while ago but never really used it. Now I'm SO glad I ignored my friend and bought it!
Naked Palette
I also have the Naked 3 Palette but I don't use it anywhere near as much as the original! I'm determined to buy the second one and the new smoky one because they're super pretty. I used to wear 'Half Baked' but it started to make me look a little orange so I moved on to more subtle ones. I don;t wear eyeliner when I'm wearing eyeshadow either, unless I'm going out, which I think just makes my makeup look a lot lighter!
Music :
I've loved loads of different music this month, I got spotify and so I just have a playlist of my favourites. However, if I had to pinpoint one album that was good it would have to be...
Positive Songs For Negative People - Frank Turner
If you've read my blog before you'll probably know I like Frank. He used to be my guilty please because I didn't think he was cool but now I couldn't care less, he's great if punk pop is your kind of thing. I've already seen him live twice this year (and met him both times, how exciting). I'm also going to see him in November. Me and Dad have 3 physical copies of this album and one on iTunes because we had to buy two to get in to a gig and Dad had one already but we love it so it's worth it!
Top Five Songs :
1. Song For Josh
2. The Next Storm
3. Mittens
4. Glorious You
5. Get Better
Other Songs I've Loved :
1966 - The Wombats
Drag Me Down - One Direction
Them Girls Be Like - Fifth Harmony
Suga Mama - Fifth Harmony
Boys Don't Cry - The Cure
TV Show :
I never really tend to watch the TV so when I do it's always something special because I normally catch things on iPlayer on my laptop, HOWEVER, something very exciting started this month
The Great British Bake Off
If watching people have cake related disasters doesn't make your Wednesday night then are you actually human? If you're not from the UK, it's basically a load of people who bake at home, they go in to this competition, bake a load of cakes/biscuits/pastries etc for two people (Paul and Mary) to eat and the two hosts (Mel and Sue) make the programme. It's just such a feel good programme!
Photo :
I don't really have a lot of photos from August I must admit but I do have this one! This is me and Frank Turner (who is incredibly tall). I really do love Frank. His music is different to all the other music I listen to and one or two of his songs even bring me to tears a little, usually when I hear them live. He is also brought me and Dad a lot closer I think, we spend a lot more time together and he told me the other day I was his best friend and I cried a bit to be honest, very special. So to meet Frank ad tell him how much his music means to me is great!
What's Exciting About Next Month?
I go to University next month! It's also scary but very exciting! I go right at the end of the month so its still a while away but technically it is next month. So I'll be moving back home! I'm so so happy about this in one way because I'll be closer to my Grandma, my Auntie and Uncle and my two cousins Ella and Liv. Ella and Liv has really helped me through the last few years and I love them so so much so I can't wait to just be able to go round and spend the same day with them!
So that's August for you! I'm sorry I haven't really been writing as much, I had no idea what to write! Suddenly you're getting an outburst of posts, not sure whether that's good or bad!
Thanks For Reading!
