25 Most Played - February 2015
Looking at my iTunes is pretty interesting. I have everything from One Direction to Green Day and beyond. So, at the late time of 11:45 pm with a job interview tomorrow, I thought I would give you a rundown of my 25 Most Played Songs at this point in time. Bear in mind I only got my laptop at christmas so the number of plays are low. On my old iTunes 'What Makes You Beautiful' was number 1 with around 300 plays...no regrets. Brace yourselves, this is a long one.
25. Lost! - Coldplay (8 plays)
I will never not love Coldplay. No matter how much people hate them, my love for them runs deep. This is possibly my favourite song by them (but not the version with Jay-Z which is 'Lost+'). I also love the acoustic version which is called 'Lost?'...original. This is also fetus Harry Styles' favourite Coldplay song and I had no idea till Natalie showed me an interview from years ago...we're meant to be.
Favourite Lyric : 'Just cause you're a big fish in a little pond doesn't mean you've won'
24. Dear Future Husband - Meghan Trainor (9 plays)
This whole album is FANTASTIC! This might be my favourite song on it...it puts me in a great mood and makes me want to dance around. Cheers Megan.
Favourite Lyric : 'Even if I was wrong...you know I'm never wrong, why disagree?'
23. Hear Me - Imagine Dragons (9 plays)
I never used to be a big Imagine Dragons fan but once when I was getting ready for a party at my friends she put this album and I bought it straight away. This song in particular makes me feel very empowered so cheers lads for that.
Favourite Lyric : 'Leave your shoes at the door baby, I am all you adore lately'
22: Runaway - Ed Sheeran (9 plays)
I've loved Ed since his first album and this album definitely exceeded any expectations. I love this song, it's so...funky?
Favourite Lyric : 'I love him from the skin of my bones, but I don't wanna live in this home'
21: I Miss You - Blink-182 (9 plays)
Good old Blink-182 eh? This song makes me cry when I feel sad and we all need a song like that in our lives. Enough said.
Favourite Lyric : 'Don't waste your time on me, you're already the voice inside my head'
20: It's Not Right For You - The Script (10 plays)
Yes. Just Yes. Well done Danny.
Favourite Lyric : 'Is this the life you've been dreaming of? Spending half of it away from the things you love?'
19: Come What May - Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor (10 plays)
Favourite musical and just film in general. This is a ballad I can sing as loud as I want to. And yes, I do both parts. Thank you.
Favourite Lyric : 'Seasons may change, winter to spring, but i'll love you till the end of time'
18: Centuries - Fall Out Boy (10 plays)
I had no idea I had listened to this so much...woops. I think it's just a song I can headbang to which is always nice when you're stressed...or just weird
Favourite Lyric : 'I am the opposite of amnesiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa'
17: 42 - Coldplay (10 plays)
Knew they'd crop up again. I like the fact that this starts off sad and gets more upbeat. Good one lads.
Favourite Lyric : 'And, since I fell for that spell, I am living there as well'
16: Let's Dance To Joy Division (11 plays)
This is very cheerful and I love it. Good one to go mad to if you're that way inclined...
Favourite Lyric : 'Let the love tear us apart, I've found the cure for a broken heart' or 'I'm back in Liverpool' because I'm a scouser..yes
15: She Moves In Her Own Way - The Kooks (11 plays)
For a while I thought this was called 'Paper Jeans'..turns out it isn't. This reminds me of Gavin and Stacey because they play it when Nessa and Stacey first go to London and so it cheers me up. Plus it's a great song so you know...
Favourite Lyric : 'You don't pull my strings cause I'm a better man, moving on to better things'
14: Ooh La - The Kooks (11 plays)
I don't know why I play this so much. It's just a good one to sing along to because it's in my range so I like to pretend I can sing with this on.
Favourite Lyric : 'pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty PETTICOAT'
13: Warning Sign - Coldplay (11 plays)
Haha...woops...I like Coldplay a lot? This song makes me cry so I like to listen to it in the car when I'm on a long drive so I can vent frustration.
Favourite Lyric : EITHER 'Come on in, I've gotta tell you what a state I'm in' or 'When the truth is, I miss you'
12: Atlas - Coldplay (11 plays)
Bloody hell...I JUST LIKE COLDPLAY
Favourite Lyric : 'I'll carry your world'
11: Na Na Na Na Naa - Kaiser Chiefs (12 plays)
I downloaded this because I fancy Ricky...I said it. Especially when he goes 'DOWNLOAD THIS APP NOWWWWW' in that voice add that they play throughout the programme...just me? Ok.
Favourite Lyric : 'It does not move me, it does not get me going at all'
10: Our Perfect Disease - The Wombats (13 plays)
My obsession with this lot are thanks to my friend Melissa. This is not my usual music but I just like dancing to this one sometimes when I'm getting ready.
Favourite Lyric : 'We all need someone to drive us mad OOOOOUHOOOOO'
9: Moving To New York - The Wombats (15 plays)
This reminds me of the inbetweeners which is a cracking programme...
Favourite Lyric : 'I put one foot forward and ended up 30 yards back'
8: Tales of Girls, Boys and Marsupials - The Wombats (15 plays)
This is ever so clever and I love it. I wish I was this talented. It's also very short so that's why I think it has 15 plays.
Favourite Lyric : Well the only lyric in it it 'Tales of Girls and Boys and Marsupials' so I don't have much say in the matter...
7: Oh My God - Kaiser Chiefs (16 plays)
This song is right up my street, Ricky, good guitar riff, cracking chorus.
Favourite Lyric : 'Knock me down I get right back up again, come back stronger than a powered up Pac Man'
6: Life Support - Sam Smith (18 plays)
I blame this entirely on Nat. That's all I have to say.
Favourite Lyric : "Can't you see that I am yours?'
5: Anti-D - The Wombats (20 plays)
This is like a sad song and a happy song at the same time and I'm not quite sure how it works but it does.
Favourite Lyric : 'It's hard to smile when you're as flat as a panc-c-cake'
4: New Romantics - Taylor Swift (21 plays)
This is a proper dancey song sung perfectly by good old T-Swizzle. Nice one girl.
Favourite Lyric : Either the bit right before the chorus where she goes 'AH AH AH AH AH AHHHHH' or 'Please leave me stranded, it's so romantic'
3. Sledgehammer - Fifth Harmony (21 plays)
I also blame this on Natalie. She played it before we were going out and now I am obsessed...someone help me.
Favourite Lyric : 'If you could feel my heartbeat now, it would hit you like a sledgehammer'
2: Elastic Heart - Sia (22 plays)
This makes me want to become a professional dancer or something. I also like playing it when I'm home alone so I can sign as loud as I like.
Favourite Lyric: 'You did not break me'
1: Kill The Director - The Wombats (26 plays)
I went through a stage of being so obsessed with this I would play it 24/7. No joke. It's great.
Favourite lyric: Gonna have to pick a few. Got so many amazing lyrics in it.
'I've met someone that makes me feel seasick' 'I don't care about the soaps, though I'm acting like I'm in an Eastenders episode' 'If this is a Rom-Com, kill the director' 'Carrots help you see much better in the dark, don't talk to girls they'll break your heart' 'So, with the angst of a teenage band, here's another song about a gender I'll never understand' 'This is no Bridget Jones'
So, nearly an hour later, there you have it, if you read up to here, go get yourself a cake. You deserve it.
