Cya One Direction (Blogmas Day Seventeen)

by - 13:17

Hello you lovely lot!

Only seven days of Blogmas left now, I'm sorry yesterdays was so late, I literally only remembered when I got in from a night out, hence the reason why it was so short. I was going to do a post about the fact I'm home now but you've heard all that now so I decided to do this.

You should know by now that I am a massive One Direction fan. I have been from the very start and have seen them many a time.

I saw them at the Take Me Home Tour in Nottingham...

I then saw them at the Where We Are Tour in London

Then the On The Road Again Tour in Manchester

Then again in Sheffield

Seeing them live is always amazing, they put so much effort in to their shows and I also enjoy being able to scream and cry and sing and dance for a while without being judged. These concerts have given me the best memories. Harry looking at me weirdly because his name was written on my head (yes I went through that stage), Liam telling me he could see my flashing ears, going to London and waiting out all day in the sun, meeting a new friend from Switzerland (twice) and spending a whole concert crying with Gaby. I will always remember these nights no matter whether the boys decide to come back or not.

One Direction have also given me the bestest friend I could ever ask for.

This is probably what I love most about how One Direction has helped me. Natalie, in turn, has changed me for the better and looks after me and none of that would have happened without One Direction. She's been there for me through good and bad and quite a lot of our memories have included One Direction. Searching for their merchandise in Claires (which is not longer there, what si wrong with them?!), singing to them in my car, watching their DVD, the list goes on.

People always say that girls only like One Direction for their looks and whilst I agree that Harry Styles is the most beautiful human I have ever seen in my entire life, I love their music too. It's music that I can put on and dance too but there's also songs I can put on and cry to as well. One Directions lyrics mean a lot to me even if they do just sing about great songs and smiling at the ground sometimes. If you listen to more of the recent songs like 'If I Could Fly' or 'A.M.' and even some of the really early songs like 'Taken' you'll realise not all their songs are the same. People judge One Direction too quickly I think. Even my Dad does but when I sat him down and played him 'Where Do Broken Hearts Go' without telling him who it was, he loved it.

One Directions music has got me through some tough times and in all honesty I'm not sure where i'd be without them, or if i'd even be here. I went through a very rough time which I won't go in to but One Direction was always a constant thing in my life. Bands mean more to you than people think and I don't think people really get it until it happens to them and it can happen with any band!

I am so sad to see the boys go on this hiatus but I know that it's the best thing for them. They have worked so hard for the past five years and they definitely need some time to themselves. I like to think I won't lose my love for them over the time but you never know. However, if future me is reading this and you don't love them, I hope you read this and remember everything!

So, Lads, thanks for the best 5 years of my life, hope I see you soon!

Thanks For Reading!

Becky x
