Hello You Lovely Lot!
If you follow me on any social media then you should probably know that around a week ago now I went to see Busted on their tour! If you follow me on any social media, you should also know that this is a huge thing for me.

Busted was the first band I really got in
to, the first posters I had on my wall and the first album I knew every single
word to. When the first Busted album was bought out (back in 2002) my Dad wrote
music reviews for a Uni newspaper and one week the album came in. Dad bought
the album home and played it and before he knew it he loved it. He then played
it to me and apparently I loved dancing round the living room to it. My Grandma
was less than impressed at her 5 year old Granddaughter dancing and signing to songs
about falling in love with teachers and Air Hostess’. I fell in love more and
more (mainly with James) and it wasn’t long before they became my first boyband
love. In (2004) we went to see them live in Liverpool with McFly
supporting them (so we can all blame Busted for my now very strong McFly
obsession) and I don’t really remember it but Dad tells me I loved it.
I remember when I found out that Busted had
split up. I was sitting in the car with mum about to set off for school when it
came on the radio and all I could do was cry. It’s weird how things like that
stick in our brains. Eventually I forgot about them for a while as McFly became
my next obsession. At some point a few years ago (when I saw a few I mean like
7 or 8, bit more than a few) I stumbled across their album and I remember
putting the photo on Instagram of it. I listened to it all over again and was
once again obsessed.
If you read my blog you might know I went
to McBusted and I absolutely loved it. I was so blown away and when I saw James
and Matt come out I couldn’t help but cry. It was my childhood in front of me
again. When they played their songs I sang along to every single song, both
Busted and McFly and it was just the happiest night of my life. The McBusted
album went down a storm and I still love it even though it seems surreal to me.
Then I kind of put the thought out of my mind and I was so busy waiting for
McFly to come back that I never imagines Busted would return.
The video that announced the Busted tour
had me in a fit of tears, I just couldn’t believe it. I guess it sounds so dumb
but when a band was your whole life for a few years, they have some effect on
you. So I contacted the one friend that I thought would be available and want
to go, Gaby. Me and Gaby have been to a few concerts together now and she’s
exactly the same as I am so I love going with Gaby. Eventually the night rolled
round and it hadn’t even sunk in. I don’t think it did till they were stood on
stage. I have a video of the opening video and I have never screamed so loud. Basically
there were three screens and on each of them was a member of Busted with a pig
mask on, then they all lifted them up and well, I lost it ladies and gents. I
burst in to tears.
I got over it quite quickly because the
first song they played was ‘Coming Home; which is a new song so it wasn’t one
that I danced around my old living room to. However, when they got to songs
like ‘Why’, ‘Everything I Knew’ and ‘3AM’ I just cried. It’s so weird to see
them live again. Even though I had already seem 3AM live at McBusted, I will
always cry at it because it’s always been my favourite Busted song. However,
most of the songs I hadn’t heard live since I was little. The concert was so
incredible. Concerts will always be my favourite place. To be in an arena full
of people who love the music as much as you do is always incredible. I can’t
wait for Busted’s new album to be released even though I know it’s not typical
Busted from what I’ve heard so far. If you have a chance to see Busted live
then do it, it is honestly incredible especially if you’ve loved them for as
long as I have!
