December Playlist (Blogmas Day Nineteen)

by - 06:07

Hello you lovely lot!

We're nearly at the end of Blogmas now and I can't believe I've (almost) managed to do it without missing a day! I was so annoyed that I missed yesterday but I will catch up soon. So, I know I don't normally post my playlists at this time but I don't really think I'm gong to write a post between Christmas day and New Years, maybe a 'What I Got For Christmas?'. I also might do a post about when i see Natalie on the 28th? I don't know. Since we're in the last few days of December I think it's an acceptable time to post this!

Lets go!

Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) - Christmas - Michael Bublé

I think this is such a good way to kick off the playlist! I have already talked about this in my Christmas songs playlist! It's such a feel good Christmas song even thought the lyrics aren't necessarily the happiest.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'They're singing deck the halls, but it's not like Christmas at all'

Stolen Moments - Wake Up - The Vamps

This was also on last months playlist and that rarely happens. Normally I tend to ignore the stuff on my previous playlist and not listen to it which means it's so weird going back through them and seeing what I listened to! This however has stood the test of time. I am still in love with this song and think it's so beautiful. The Vamps have outdone themselves.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'You say you don't wanna fall in, but you keep fallin'

Everglow - A Head Full Of Dreams - Coldplay

This is such a beautiful song and I haven't really listened to it in a while but it is most definitely one of my favourite songs from this album. I have always loved Coldplay and though this album is quite different from a few of their others I think this is swaying towards original Coldplay. Which is what I love.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'So if you love someone, you should let them you and this light that you gave me will everglow'

OMG - Get Weird - Little Mix

I have loved this album for a while and I did like this song but I don't think I would have classed it as one of my favourites. Now, however, it's a whole different story! I've gotten really in to this song and the way it sounds. I love listening to this in the shower and pretending I'm a powerful woman who can make all the boys fall for her. In reality, I just eat too much food and listen to too much One Direction.

FAVOURITE LINE : "I don't even know how I did that, need a round of applause"

Worry - Wake Up - The Vamps

I am so in love with this song at the moment! I always listen to it on the way to Uni...well I listen to it any time I can really. I just love the tune as well as the words. Possibly my favourite song this month (which is not something I thought I would ever say).

FAVOURITE LINE : 'I worry bout you not getting sleep cause you can't if the light creeps on in, so I'd shut the curtain, who shuts the curtain now I'm gone?'

All I Want For Christmas Is You - Merry Christmas - Mariah Carey

An absolute CLASSIC.  This was also on my Christmas songs playlist and it deserves to be here too. One of the best Christmas songs out there! It's so catchy and everyone knows the words so you can put it on at a party and know that everyone will get involved. So good.

Jet Black - Sounds Good Feels Good - 5 Seconds Of Summer

I have liked this song for a while but ever since I saw the video for this I have been obsessed. I can't believe I'm going to see this live and I think I might genuinely cry. The video for this is amazing yet so simple and I think the song has the same effect. Another amazing tune from the 5SOS lads.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'Now that I'm broken, and now that you know it, caught up in a moment, can you see inside?'

I Found A Girl - Wake Up - The Vamps

I love this song so much but I've loved it ever since I heard the teaser for it. I love the lyrics and Brad sings like an angel. I also think it's not what I expected from The Vamps which is why it's on this playlist because it's not something I would usually listen to.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'She said "maybe later catch you in the elevator?"'

Grown - Get Weird - Little Mix

Another one from last months playlist! I went off this song for a bit and never really listened to it but for some reason I'm now really in to it again! It is so catchy and a completely different sound for Little Mix in my opinion! Every now and then I get snapchats of Natalie singing this and it makes me want to listen to it again which is probably why it's here!

FAVOURITE LINE : 'Oh, it's funny how the tables turn, I'm sitting back baby watching you burn'

Last Christmas - Last Christmas (Single)  - Wham!

I listened to this with dad on the way back home from Uni and he mentioned how sad it was. So, when you think about it, it's probably not the best Christmas song. However, it is one that everyone knows and that everyone sings a long to at parties! Hence why it's earned it's place here.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'I wrapped it up and sent it with a note saying 'I love you', I meant it'.

Safety Pin - Sounds Good Feels Good - 5 Seconds of Summer

This was also on last months playlist! Clearly last month was too good for me to stop listening to it! Although I think it might have been because most of the albums came out at the end of the month so I only really listened to them this month. This was my favourite song on this album at one point but I don't think it is anymore! Still amazing though!

FAVOURITE LINE : 'Throwing rocks at your broken window, only you can cure my sickness'

Kaleidoscope - A Head Full Of Dreams - Coldplay

This is such a sweet little song. I wasn't sure about it when I first heard it but it came on when i was on the bus back from Uni one day so I sat and listened to it. I wouldn't even call it a song, it's some music with a man talking over the top of it but if you listen to what he's saying it's actually so lovely. Maybe an odd choice, but a good choice in my opinion.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'This being human, is a guest house'

Merry Christmas Everyone - Merry Christmas Everyone (Single) - Shakin' Stevens

If you go all the way through December without listening to this song then who even are you? I mean, it's not even like it's the best song ever. It just makes me feel so festive which is what I need to have in a December playlist!

FAVOURITE LINE : 'We're gonna have a party tonight, underneath the mistletoe and kiss by candlelight'

Be With You - Wake Up - The Vamps

This is one of my favourite songs from this album and I did a whole other blog post about it! It's so catchy and I find myself singing it around the flat. It really cheers me up and I find it so easy to sing a long to which is something we all need in our lives.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'Hey lover, I'm questioning our love song, how did we get the words wrong?'

Do They Know It's Christmas? - Do They Know It's Christmas? (Single) - Band Aid 20

This is such an amazing Christmas song even though the message is very serious. Another song that pretty much everyone in the whole world knows! I also know it because it's in Gavin and Stacey and I know all of Smithys added in lines...is that too far? Maybe.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'Well TONIGHT THANK GOD IT'S THEM, INSTEEEEAAAAAD OF YOUUUU'

Waste The Night - Sounds Good Feels Good - 5 Seconds Of Summer

My friend Gaby actually made me love this song. She put it on before we went to see One Direction and said that it was her favourite. That was about two months ago but I've only just started to really love it. I think that this album is really something special and it's taken me a while to get in to it but now I have I'm obsessed.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'Scratch in your voice leaves me no choice'

Hands To Myself - Revival - Selena Gomez

This is a new favourite for  me. Natalie has been telling me to listen to this for such a long time but I never had a chance to sit down and do it until a few weeks ago! I haven't listened to the rest of the album so for now it's just this one but look out for Januarys playlist! It could all be there.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'I mean I could but why would I want to?'

Santa Tell Me - Ariana Grande

This is another song that made it on my Christmas songs post! I went through a stage last year of absolutely loving this and I listened to it all the time. Then, obviously I didn't listen to it for such a long time because it wasn't Christmas (ok...maybe once or twice?). However, now I can be obsessed with it again without being judged.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'I wanna have him beside me like oooooh, on the 25th by the fireplace ooooooh'

Million Words - Wake Up - The Vamps

I don't know why this wasn't on last months playlist? I've loved this for quite while and I think it's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I can listen to this when I'm happy or sad and I think that's the sign of a good song for me because usually it's one way or the other.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'Did I miss my chance? Is it too late?'

Happy Xmas (War Is Over) - Happy Xmas (War Is Over) (Single) - John Lennon

Of course my favourite Christmas song ever is going to be on here! I just love this song so much even though it's not a classic Christmas song really (although it should be, can we make it a thing?). I listen to this every year and always forget that it's my favourite until I hear it. Memory of a Goldfish I tell you.

FAVOURITE LINE : 'War is over, if you want it'

There you have it. A (very long) summary of my favourite songs from this month! What Christmas songs are your favourite? or what songs have you been loving in general?

Thanks For Reading!

Becky
