REVIEW : Urban Decay - Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette (Blogmas Day Twenty)
Hello you lovely lot!
So a few weeks ago I spent money that I really should have used for food on an eyeshadow palette. I can't deny I am fully obsessed with eyeshadow palettes now which doesn't really help because I'm sure that isn't what my student loan was made for. I already have a naked and a naked 3 palette and I never used them when I first bought them but about 3 years later I finally understand the hype. I wear eyeshadow almost every day now and when I saw Zoellas post on this palette I knew I had to buy it!
For some reason I forgot to take a photo of the packaging on the outside but it looks like this...

I had been debating before it came whether I should just send it back so I could spend the money more wisely but now I am so glad I didn't!
It's such a lovely range of colours, I usually only wear a nice nude or a pin or a gold because I'm too scared to try other colours yet but it's nice to know that when I do decide to be more adventurous I will have the other colours. Here's all of them a bit closer up!
All of the coloyrs in the palette are stunning and there isn't one that I don't like which doesn't always happen! I can't wait for the day that I'm not scared to try and do a smokey eye because when I do it currently I look like I've been beaten up.
BLONDE, BABY, POP
BATHWATER, ANAHEIM, HARAJUKU
SKIMP, STARK, DANGER
STEADY, ZONE, 1987
PUNK, SERIOUS, BLACKOUT
This palette was £40 so it was expensive but I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. I'm not the best at eyeshadow but I like to think I have created some nice looks with this! Most of the time I tend to use other palettes with this but I've done my eyeshadow just with this platte before so if you don't have any other palettes this is still good! All of the colours are quite highly pigmented I would say but also super build-able depending on how strong you want the colour to be.
I do not regret buying this in the slightest. It's sold out on the Urban Decay website now but I'm sure you'll be able to find it in other places, just have a look around!
