Spring Pinks

Hello You Lovely Lot!

So it has been Spring for a while now (or is it Summer? I don't know these things) and if you're like me you will be SO happy about it! I have to say that Winter is my favourite month because it's Christmas and my birthday in the same month. I am also one of those weird people that loves snow, even though I don't like being caught outside when it's snowing because it's cold...duh. I don't really like Summer too much though because I just can't cope with heat! I love it for about five minutes and then I just start to whinge that I'm way too hot. Autumn is OK I guess even if it can be a little bit chilly sometimes. Spring is amazing because it's just starting to warm up so it's a heat I can cope with.

I also love pink. My bedding is pink most of the time, my walls are pink, my curtains are pink and now, most of my makeup collection is pink. I never used to be one to follow the makeup trends, I would just wear whatever I want. I'm not supposed to wear dark lipstick in Summer? Try me. However, for some reason, this year has changed me and it's been months since I've worn a dark lipstick (which is funny considering I have at least five of the same colour).

So I just thought I would show you all the stuff I'll be using this Spring (or Summer, I'm still undecided) that fits in with the theme of 'Spring Pinks'.

Makeup Revolution - Ultra Blush Palette - Sugar and Spice

This is an absolutely GORGEOUS palette! My flat mate Nicole bought it and told me it's usually sold out because it's one of the most popular palettes so when I saw it in Nottingham I knew I had to buy it! I have yet to actually use it as blusher and have used it as an eyeshadow instead! I did a little tutorial of a spring pink eyeshadow on my YouTube channel which you can watch here! The blushes are so pigmented and so easy to blend and the highlight shade in the top right is gorgeous!

M.A.C - Retro Matte Liquid - Lipcolour - Ladybegood

I think that these lipsticks are so lovely and probably the best liquid lipsticks I've found so far (although I have just ordered a Kylie LipKit so expect a review of that in a couple of weeks!). This is more of a peach shade but you know...'Spring Peaches' didn't have quite the same ring to it. It's just a lovely shade that stays on your lips for a long time. Definitely recommend these lipsticks!

LA Splash Cosmetics - Lip Couture Waterproof Liquid Lipstick - Innocent Vixen

Yet again another peach but also a very lovely colour! It's very similar to the MAC one but about half the price and is good value! You can get these from BeautyBay since LA Splash isn't an ENglish company and doesn't ship to the UK!

LA Splash Cosmetics - Lip Couture Waterproof Liquid Lipstick - Ghoulish

This is quite a greyish toned pink (never thought I'd say that to be honest) but it's definitely more pink than 'OG Ghoulish which is pretty much just straight grey. I love this colour and it's a bit of a twist on the average spring pink which is nice!

Sleek - Matte Me Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream - Bittersweet

I've only worn this a few times since it's quite a recent purchase but I absolutely love it. I think that it comes out a bit darker than it looks in a bottle but I still love it. I wasn;t actually meant to buy this until Nicole showed it to me at the checkout so I knew I had to buy it because I was low on nude lipsticks (although now I'm starting to think Im low on dark ones!)

Sleek - Matte Me Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream - Shabby Chic

This is probably the truest pink that I have in my collection and one of my favourites. I want to say it's like a 'your lips but better' but I think it's a bit too pink to be one of those! It is gorgeous however and again it darkens a bit when you put it on your lips, maybe that's just the Sleek formula?

So there you have it! I am loving pinks this spring and I just think it makes me look a lot more summery and also goes with any outfit whereas some makeup I have to co-ordinate with a certain outfit.

Thanks For Reading!
