The Body Shop Event

Hello You Lovely Lot!

So, another week another blog post. I feel like this week has gone so slowly and I was worried that I'd missed a week of uploading a blog post! However, I'm back and I'm so excited to write this post.

A few weeks ago my friend Cassie messaged me and told me about an event for bloggers/vloggers in Liverpool at The Body Shop! She gave me the email of the person who was organising it and I had no hesitation in getting in touch because I love The Body Shop.

I have to admit I was a bit nervous before I went because Cassie was actually ill on the day which meant I ended up going on my own but once I arrived I knew that I had no reason to be nervous. The girls were super lovely and it was definitely the highlight of my week! They even put on snacks for us and got us tea and coffee and the girls just made me feel so comfortable.

So, on to the actual products. We went around in groups of two and the sections we all looked at were 'Oils of Life', 'Skincare' and 'Makeup'. I met a lovely girl called Jess (whose blog you can check out here if you'd like : https://jessiloublog.wordpress.com/) and we started at the 'Oils of Life' station.

I had already used a toner from the 'Oils of Life' range before and I absolutely loved it but as a student I didn't have the money to keep on buying it. However, I had no doubt that it worked well and improved my skin, so when I learnt that they had new products in the range I was so excited! Sarah (who was one of the girls working there are the time) even gave me a facial and used all of the products that were appropriate for my skin. Jess can tell you that my skin was absolutely glowing by the end of it. I was worried about putting oil on skin because my eyelids and around my nose but Sarah told me that putting oil on to oily areas usually helps because your skin doesn't produce as much oil if you add oil to it. I can't recommend these products enough honestly, if I'd had enough money I would have bought them all and my skin would be permanently shining.

The next station we went to was 'Skincare' so we got to look at all the lovely face masks (and if you know me you know I love a face mask). We also looked at some new scrubs and creams that they had and they also do candles now, oh yes you heard me right...CANDLES

All the creams and the scrubs are amazing and my favourite thing about them is that they've catered for people skin types and their preferences! There's different face masks for different issues and they have a few different scrubs depending on how rough you like a scrub to be. I ended up buying the Himalayan salt scrub and then the Seaweed face mask. Seaweed face masks are always my favourite for some reason, I just love the way they dry on your skin and you can really feel them working!

We got the scrubs tested out on our hands and they were so smooth afterwards. I love the fact that you can just walk in to The Body Shop and have a consultation and they'll tell you exactly what you need to help your personal issues.

Then finally me and Jess headed over to makeup! I was most excited about this before I went because I'd been told that there were new liquid lipsticks (not like I need any more of them).

I am so in love with some of these shades, particularly the two darkest ones and then the really nude one on my hand in the photo above! The formula of these was so creamy and although I didn't buy one on the day I have no doubt that it won't be long until I actually do buy one. I had my makeup done and my skin was still glowing from the facial earlier on in the day. For some reason I didn't take any photos of my makeup but I was so pleasantly surprised! I loved the foundation and I need to buy some for my everyday makeup.

Overall I just had the loveliest day! All of the girls I met were so nice and the staff were just so helpful and informative! Sarah said that this was the first bloggers event they'd done but I never would have guessed because everything was so well organised and I can't wait for the next one!

Thanks For Reading!
