September Favourites 2015

by - 07:14

Hello you lovely lot!

How is it the end of September?! I can't believe it! I always start these in the middle of the month because I love writing them so much! These seems to be my most popular posts so it's nice to know that other people enjoy them too!

This month has certainly been a busy one for me but also one of the best months and I can't wait for the next few months either!

I thought I would find it so hard to try and talk about different things I've loved every month but as this blog will soon be coming up to it's 1st birthday I can happily say that's not the case. I love discovering new things and then sharing them with you! This one is a little earlier, I normally put my favourites up around the 25th/26th but those are the days I'm moving to Uni and I also have another post for that day so I want to get this one up as soon as I can.

So let's get down to it!

Beauty / Skincare :

Now, as I mentioned in my last favourites I bought a foundation to replace my MAC one in the summer because it was starting to feel a bit heavy! So I did just that and I have to say, I feel a lot better, I feel much less cakey and as excited as I am for wearing my MAC foundation much more in the winter, it's been nice to have a bit of a lighter one. So this month, my beauty favourite is...

Rimmel - Match Perfection Foundation - 103 (True Ivory)

I don't think I've ever really used this foundation before, I have used a few Rimmel ones and I don't think I've ever been particularly impressed, this one however has changed my mind! The first time I out this on it matched my skin so well and even though I had a tan back then it still blends in really well. I find it easy to wear and I don't feel or look (in my personal opinion) like I have too much makeup on. I'm now saving my MAC one for special occasions because I think I'm running out and I will need a lot of makeup to cover my under eye bags at Monday morning lectures. It's on my christmas list though so it won't be long until I *hopefully* get a new bottle of it.

Music :

Normally I do an album for this section but I can't really give you a specific album I've been loving, however, I have discovered the joys of Spotify so I can tell you my favourite artist of this month!

Oh Wonder

I found these two thanks to doddleoddle and meowitslucy and their lovely cover of 'All We Do' which you can see here. Trust me, amazing! I'm not sure how to explain the music they play but I do know that I love it so give them a quick google and see what you think.

Top Five Songs :

1. Drive
2. Livewire
3. Lose It
4. All We Do
5. White Blood

Other Songs I've Loved :

What Do You Mean? - Justin Bieber
Hair - Little Mix
James Franco - Hoodie Allen
Say Love - JoJo
Cool For The Summer - Demi Lovato

TV Show :

Now, as I'm sure I've said many times, I'm not a big lover of TV unless there's a series on that I really want to watch, I don't tend to just sit down for half an hour and watch whatever's on. I am still LOVING Great British Bake Off which was my favourite for last month, however, this month one of my favourite TV Programmes is back!

Doctor Who

I have loved Doctor Who from when it restarted with Christopher Eccleston. I have to admit I haven't been as keen on the Peter Capaldi episodes but I'm keen to really get back in to it because I love Clara and Doctor Who is something me and Dad always used to watch! I'm still bitter about the fact it's not David Tennant anymore because he was and always will be my favourite Doctor (and one of my friends cousins is married to him, not jealous AT ALL *I am*).

Photo :

It took me a while to choose this months favourite photo so in the end I chose two (I very nearly picked a very ugly one of me because it's given me and Natalie a good old giggle a few times, but I won't).

This first one is of me and my friend Amy.

I used to sit near Amy in English when we first started college and we quickly became friends and I'm sure our singing of High School Musical annoyed loads of people but we did it anyway. She is such a lovely person and it had been a while since I'd seen her so we planned a day and just had a nice catch up before we both go to Uni! This photo is even going up on my University wall. She's always looking out for me and for that I'm very grateful, cheers Amy.

My second one is of me and my friends Becca and Sandy, who have been in a favourites before, lucky them!

I have SO many photos of this day but I love this one. Becca and Sandy were in my maths group in year 12 and we have remained really good friends ever since. I would consider them two of my bestest (not a word, go with it please) friends even though we see each other once every few months! I have a few photos of them going on my wall at Uni and I think they were both a bit surprised by this bless them. We were inseparable in maths and one of Sandy's friends who was in the class too was surprised when she told him we were still all friends!

As much as I don't think Bilborough was the right college for me to go to, I have made so many wonderful friends there and these three are three of my favourite Bilborough friends, not sure I would have stayed at Bilborough for another year had it not been for them!

Purchase :

This section is a new addition to my favourites simply because I love it so much...

'WAR PAINT' Makeup Bag

I originally saw this on Zoellas blog and I instantly fell in love. I searched high and low and eventually I found it and I have never been happier. It's HUGE and fits all my makeup, palettes and brushes in when I used to have to use three separate bags, very inconvenient. It's going to be so useful when I move to University and then I can use my small one for when I want to come home and only need the essentials, don't need to take my Naked palette with me everywhere I go, lets be honest. They do it in black to which I didn't realise till it came this morning, however, I think I do prefer this one!

You can buy that HERE!

Book :

I don't normally include this either and even though there's a book I've already spoken about on my blog, it HAS to be here!

Eleanor And Park

You can read my review by clicking HERE. I talk about it there and I gush about how good it is, I just thought it deserved a spot here!

What's Exciting About Next Month?

Well, next month will be my first full month at University! I move in on the 26th so I'll only be there for 4 days before it turns to October! University means so many exciting things! It means I'll be living near my little cousins who are honestly my life, I'll meet loads of new people, learn loads more and most importantly, have my own room to decorate how I wish (yes that is the most important!). I also see One Direction TWICE next month and I can't wait, one of them is the week after I move to Liverpool...talk about awkward timing!

Thanks For Reading!
