Hello you lovely lot!

I can't believe it's the end of October. Does this mean I can start counting down till Christmas (I think so). I'm not sure when this will go up so if you're reading this and it's up later than usual, I'm sorry, it's most likely because I've been in Wales with the English Department at my University and they've not got WiFi! If it's up early it's because I was very organised and managed to get it done before I went to Wales, but if you know me, you know I'm not organised!

This month has been so busy! It's been my first month at University, I've seen One Direction twice (although as I'm writing this and probably as you're reading it, I have yet to see them the second time), I've learnt alot about myself and other people and I've spent more time sitting on my own missing home than anything else! However, I have enjoyed bits of it and I, of course, still have favourites to tell you all about!

So, lets go!

Beauty / Skincare :

So, I like a dark lip. I'm a Rimmel 107 girl, I love a bit of a plum for Autumn and Winter (and Spring and Summer..). However, this month, I have reached a whole new level of 'dark lip'.

I am blaming this entirely on Jess (sunbeamsjess on youtube) and her lipliner collection video! The second I saw it I knew I had to have it so I wrote it down on my christmas list. Then, me and my friend Nina went to Manchester to see a play and we were an hour or two early, so when we passed a MAC I knew what I had to do. I went in for the lipliner and then the lovely lady serving me asked 'do you want a lipstick to go on top?' and you just can't say no to that can you really...I mean I could have...but I didn't. I have worn the combo about three times in a row since I bought it the other day and I don't even care. I have had loads of compliments since I started wearing and also a few weird looks but what can you do? I think I prefer the lipliner on it's own but that's because it seems to last longer, I'm still very glad I bought the lipstick too though!

Music : 

Usually I write about an album I've loved here but there isn't a whole album that I've found that I love yet so I'm just going to do some songs that I've really loved this month! I am, however, going to be doing an 'October Playlist' post because it's been ages since I've done a music one for you!

TV Show :

There's got to be two this month! One has a been a favourite for a while and one is one I have just rediscovered!

I used to think this sounded like the worst programme in the history of the world, like, who wants to watch people watch television right? Oh, how wrong I was. I LOVE it. The Moffats are by far my favourite, mainly because of Scarlett (who favourited my tweet the other day, hold your applause). I never really sit down and watch TV so by watching this I feel like I'm caught up on the weeks TV which is always nice!

I have two for this month, one is a very lovely one and one is a bit ridiculous. Lets start with this one...


This is me and my mum in Liverpool when her and Dad came to visit me. I had the best two days ever, it was nice to be out of my flat because I feel like I'm going a bit stir crazy sometimes. It was so nice to see them again and I did shed a little tear, I miss them so much when it's just me.

Then this one


This is my Dad. This is also from the weekend that Mum and Dad came to see me. My Dad is my best friend, he always laughs at my jokes (which nobody here does, it's very sad), he always knows how to cheer me up and he knows how I feel nine times out of ten. He has helped me so much at University, mainly with the cooking, and he looks after Mum who apparently is quite worried about me. I owe a lot to my Dad and even though he has really let me down in the past and I don't completely trust him and I'm not sure if I ever will do again, he does make me smile. Really, if you think about it, he's just got an ice cream cone up his nose.

Purchase :

I literally bought this the day before I wrote this and I am already in love with it. If you know me you know I love Disney and you know that I like big jumpers and you know I love Primark (I mean, sometimes, not all the time, I love their novelty tops and jumpers). So, when i went into Primark with my flat mate Nicole and I saw this I knew I had to buy it.


IT'S A JUMPER WITH DAISY DUCK ON IT. OK. THANK YOU. I first saw this when Gabby (velvetgh0st on youtube) wore this and all I could think about was how love it was. then when i walked into Primark I saw it and there was an intake of breath. I knew there and then that I had to buy it. I picked it up straight away and there wasn't even any umming and ahhing about it, I took it round with me everywhere. It's super comfy and it also looks pretty so all in all I'd say it's a justified purchase really if you think about it. I'm taking it to Wales with me when I go with the English department tomorrow!


What's Exciting About Next Month? :

At the end of this month (the 31st, so I'm gonna write about it now since it practically is next month) I'm seeing One Direction again! I'm seeing them with my friend Gaby this time so I think I'll be more comfortable and feel less embarrassed about crying and singing and dancing. It's also the last tour date before the big hiatus so I think it will be super emotional! I'm also seeing Frank Turner with Dad next month so that's exciting! Then my friend Chloe is coming down to visit me for two nights. Chloe was the first friend who is left in Nottingham to show interest in coming to see me and so I am so happy that she's coming. It's going to be lovely to know I have someone I know really well for more than just a few hours! I also think my friends Izzi and Gemma are coming up if they get time off work! One of the most exciting things is the fact I might see my friend Grace. I haven't seen Grace in probably about 7 or 8 years but when I lived here as a child she was my best friend! We both have Wednesdays off University so we're going to go for a coffee or lunch!
