One Direction
Hello you lovely lot!
So, if you know me at all you will know I LOVE One Direction. You may also know that I went to see them on the 3rd of October! I wasn't going to make a blog post about this for some reason but I have to be up in 8 hours and I don't feel tired in the slightest, so I thought, I should write this!
So, earlier this month I managed to get me and my best friend Natalie tickets to see One Direction. However, with Natalie's job, it was impossible for her to get here in time and so I almost didn't go because the idea of going alone was terrifying.
However, I left all my flat mates that evening and made my way down to Liverpool Lime Street to get on the hour long train to Manchester by myself. Considering I normally don't get on the half an hour train from my house to the centre of Nottingham on my own because I'm scared, this was a big thing. I hate going anywhere on my own.
I was on the train for just under an hour and I had no idea when I first got on if it was the right train, I think I must have asked about 5 people. I also had no idea where to go once I got off the train, at this point I think I was more nervous than excited. However, I put my headphones in, put a bit of One Direction on and tried to relax.
Finally we stopped and I piled off the train with everyone else, after looking round for like five minutes and trying to find someone who looked like they would go to see One Direction I spotted someone in a 1D T-Shirt and followed them to the arena.
When I sat down I was surrounded by little kids who gave me very weird looks because I was on my own and I just hoped that whoever I had sold the ticket to was nice because I was worried I wouldn't be able to sing along or scream or dance without looking like an idiot. Finally the owner of my spare ticket arrived and I instantly felt so much better.
I'm pretty sure he was my age but I never actually asked, but he was so lovely and he was Swiss! Before the concert started we talked about what music we liked and how many times we had seen the boys, which all started by me checking the time and him realising my home screen was Harry Styles (don't judge me). We sang along to Little Mix and Five Seconds of Summer when their videos came on and ignored the weird looks from the kids and their mums!
The support act (Jamie Lawson) was surprisingly good and he even sang 'More Than This' which is quite an old One Direction song, I nearly cried. Then we waited an hour for One Direction and every time the song that was playing in the arena stopped me and my new friend would get our phones out with baited breath before groaning when a new song came on.
When the lights finally went down we went mad. I couldn't believe I was there after months of trying to plan it and being so scared that I wad going to have to go alone. I have a video of the beginning and it's mainly me screaming and going 'Oh My GOD', I was very excited.
Overall One Direction were AMAZING (as per usual)! I sang along to all the songs and as is tradition, I cried my way through 'Don't Forget Where You Belong' which seems to have a whole new meaning for me since I moved to University!
Harry looked amazing as per usual
I didn't manage to get any good photos of Louis but I have a few of Liam and Niall! The rest of my photos are just blurry or Harry which I think is understandable...
After all the nerves, this was most definitely worth it! They never fail to amaze me and it still doesn't feel like I've seen them, I think I'm in a bit of shock. I'm seeing them again on the 31st with my friend Gaby which is going to be amazing, I'm sure there'll be less nerves when I'm going with a friend and not hoping the person I get put with is nice! I even added the boy I went with on Snapchat and he's going to Sheffield too so it would be nice to see each other! I'm also going home that weekend because Sheffield is closer to Nottingham than Liverpool so that's a bonus!
One Direction are unbelievable on stage and all my videos are me crying or screaming but I still loved it!
Thanks For Reading!

Hey Becky,
ReplyDeleteI loved the post, I love them so much and it was sad that they didn't come to my city on this most recent tour. But the good thing was that i got to see them on their previous tour and I couldn't be more happy to have seen them live. They are truly amazing! And is actually funny but i went through a similar case where my friend ended up not going to one concert with me due to her job so I had to sell the spare ticket and I was terrified of being there alone, but gladly the person who bought the ticket was a nice person. So in the end I had i great time!
