Hello You Lovely Lot!

I feel like it's been ages since I last wrote a blog post and I really have missed it! It's also been ages since I did a review so I thought I would grace you all with my words of wisdom (I'm not actually very wise...sorry).

So, the last review I did was also on a NARS makeup product but I can't help it that they're all so amazing! I have also mentioned this product before in a favourites but I think that it deserves a whole review of it's own. I have used it every single day since it arrived on my doorstop and I just thought I sing it's praises in a little blog post!

NARS Copacabana Illuminator




I bought this product a few months ago and I was really anxious about spending that much money on a highlighter. This product is retailed at £23.00 on feelunique.com however I think I bought mine from ASOS. (I KNOW, ASOS DOES MAEKEUP...WOAH, RIGHT?!). I have heard SO many people hype and rave about this product and I'm sure you have too.

Before this highlighter I had only just started using the Sleek highlighter that came in the contour palette. Highlighting is a relatively new thing for me and I only started to do it because I started contouring and it came with the palette that I bought. However, I will now never be able to go back to not using a highlighter.

I have the liquid version and not the multiple stick. I haven't tried the multiple but I feel like it would just push my foundation around. If you've got the multiple of tried it feel free to let me know how you find it because I wanted to buy one that I could use as a blusher!

This highlighter just gives you such a glowy look without making you look like Edward Cullen (I don't know how many times I've made that joke but it's too many and that's all I know). However, I do think it's easy to put too much on. It is really build-able though so I just put a really small bit on and then add more until I'm satisfied. The fact that you only have to use a little bit means that it it going to last you a long time. As a student, I know that money is a precious thing but I can promise you that this is worth the investment. My skin just looks so much healthier and dewey when I use it.

Hopefully you enjoyed this review and maybe even go and buy the product yourself. If you have a Space N.K Apothecary near you then I know that they stock NARS so you could even go in and ask for them to try it on you. Same with any Harvery Nichols and I'm sure there are other places that stock NARS!

Hello You Lovely Lot!

Normally I am itching to write these and even start writing them in the middle of the month however this month has just flown by and I can't believe it's nearly the end. This month has been a bit mixed for me, there's been times where I've felt so happy but also times where I've thought about quitting University and moving back home. However, on a more positive note, lets talk about what I've loved this month, shall we?

Beauty / Skincare :

I bought this last month and if you read my blog you may already know what it is. I only started using it this month though and it has blown everything out of the water...

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation



If you want to read my blog post about it you can find that here because I sing all it's praises there. For now I will just say that so far, this is the best high street foundation I've used and has even surpassed my MAC one *gasp*. It just makes me feel great and I love using it even if I do try and save it for special occasions.

Music :

There's not really been a specific album or artist that I've loved this month so I'm just going to list a few songs that I've completely been obsessed with!

Gravity - Coldplay

I found this by accident, I knew this song because it's on an episode of Gavin and Stacey but it wasn't the Coldplay version! I was going through Spotify to see if there was any Coldplay songs I didn't know and I found this one and I've loved it ever since.

Army - Ellie Goulding

My love for this song really appeared after the video came out. I did quite like it before then but once I saw the video I was fully hooked. Ellie dedicated this song to her best friend and the video is basically a montage of videos of them! Now this song makes me thing of Natalie (how cheesy is that?) and it just makes me super happy.

No Words - The Script

This is probably my favourite song by The Script and I hadn't listened to them in ages and they came on shuffle! I just love this song so much and it will always hold nostalgia for me. The lyrics are what really makes this song for me I think and I like to pretend I know them all but in reality, I don't.

Somebody Else - The 1975

I also found this one by accident on YouTube! I think they played it at their last gig and someone uploaded it and made a little lyric video. It's now on their new album and I have to say I prefer the live version but you know, beggars can't be choosers and all that!

Violet Hill - Coldplay

I always knew this song existed but it was never one of my favourite Coldplay songs, that was until I wrote my 'TOP TWENTY : Coldplay' post which you can read here if you want to! Since then I have been listening to it more and more and this month was a real binge on it!

Geordie Shore




I started watching this because Natalie said it was really good and for a while I was hooked. I haven't watched it in a while because when you watch it episode after episode it gets slightly repetitive I have to say but I think if I was watching it once a week it would be a different story! I just think everyone is absolutely hilarious and it's a really easy thing to watch!

Nars Copacabana Highlighter 



I only really started using highlighter a few months ago and I started with just a Sleek one. As that ran out I just kept looking at this one online and reading reviews of it. I had heard so much hype about it but I just couldn't bring myself to buy it. Eventually I gave in and I'm so glad I did! It is the most beautiful highlighter and I've had loads of compliments since I've started wearing it which is always lovely. I'm not sure I'll ever go back to another highlighter ever again.

Hello you lovely lot!

So, the other night  went a bit mad with the online shopping. It was not long after my birthday and I had a bit of money to spend so I thought 'hey, why not buy myself some nice makeup?'. By that I mean 'hey, why not spend far too much money on stuff I don't really need!'.

It all arrived the other day so I thought I would give you a low down on what I ordered and what I think about it all!

Lipstick : Viva Glam - Ariane Grande



I was in love with this the first minute I saw it online and even though I a few other lipsticks that are similar in colour I knew I had to have it (typical me). I put it on just to try it and it's a gorgeous colour! I'm sure it will become a staple in my lipstick collection.

Patentpolish Lip Pencil - Knock 'Em Out



I accidentally ordered two of these but after using it I decided I'm going to keep the two. I think this was brought ought on Boxing Day (hence the name) and is an online exclusive! It's got a nice finish which I didn't like when I first put it on. It looks like I have lipgloss on and I don't like the way lipgloss feels but I like the way it looks, i'm just so used to Matte! It goes really well with 'Whirl' too!

Patentpolish Lip Pencil - Ellie Goulding - Innocent



I won't lie to you all. I bought this because of the packaging. I am however, pleasantly surprised. It once again makes me look like I have lipgloss on and is such a beautiful colour! I'm really getting in to nudes now but I used to be a red and purple girl all the way. It also looks very similar to the last one and it is a bit but this is a bit more pink!

Lip Pencil - Subculture



This was a purchase inspired by Jess (sunbeamsjess on YouTube) and her lip liner collection video, which you can watch here if you so wish! Subculture is a lovely nude and I've been needing a nude lip liner for a while. I wanted 'whirl' but it was always out of stock and I love this one more I think!

Primer - Prep & Prime Lip



I read about this online and was intrigued to try it! My lipstick tends to come off quite easily and it stresses me out a bit so I though I would give this a go to see if it makes any difference. It definitely makes my lipstick colour better but I have yet to wear it for a full day to see if it's any good!

Primer - Oil Free - Pro Prime - Pore Refining Primer



I used to use The Body Shop primer but it's starting to run out and one of my friends suggested this one! I used it the other day and my makeup stayed on all day and looked amazing (if I do say so myself).

Highlighter - Copacabana Illuminator 



I have heard so many good reviews about this so I decided to give it a go myself. It is absolutely beautiful! I feel like a fairy or something when I have it on, it just glitters and shimmers beautifully and I can't get enough of it. A tiny bit goes a long way too and you hardly need any of it! Probably my favourite thing from the selection of things I bought!

So, yeah I spent way too much money but you know, my face and lips are very happy!
